The "Ambassador of the River" program was initiated to showcase the outstanding guides and outfitters who work and or live in the Henry's Fork Watershed. These guides constantly demonstrate an exemplary attitude toward conservation and spend countless hours helping people understand the importance of preserving and protecting our precious resources. This is the mission of the HFF and since we share this common goal, this program was founded on those beliefs.
An “Ambassador of the River” supports the following basic principles:
-I will do my best to conserve, restore and protect the unique fishery, wildlife and aesthetic qualities of the Henry’s Fork watershed and will educate my clientele and the public to subscribe to the same.
-I will subscribe to and promote a professional standard of low-impact environmental usage.
-I will abide by and advise my clients of all applicable conservation regulations and will not condone their violation.
-I will at all times provide for the safety of my clients through education and well-maintained equipment.
-I will show respect for and gratitude to all private landowners, whose generosity affords us angling opportunities.
-I will reflect positively on both the outfitting industry and the Henry's Fork Foundation by showing courtesy all who use the river. |
