Taking place December 3, 2013 – the Tuesday after Thanksgiving – #GivingTuesday will harness the power of social media to create a national movement around the holidays dedicated to giving, similar to how Black Friday and Cyber Monday have become days that are, today, synonymous with holiday shopping.
The Henry’s Fork Foundation has joined this first national movement of its kind that will harness the collective power of a unique blend of partners—charities, families, businesses and individuals—to transform how people think about, talk about, and participate in the giving season. At HFF we’re kicking off the year-end giving season with #GivingTuesday.
Several of the Foundation’s generous donors have upped the ante on #GivingTuesday by offering to match the first $13,000 of year-end gifts made on that day. In addition, donors giving $100 or more will also receive a Montana Fly Company fly box as a thank you! You can help by donating on #GivingTuesday.
We need your help! In order to take advantage of this incredible matching opportunity, you can help us spread the word about #GivingTuesday. There are four easy ways for you to help us get the word out about #GivingTuesday and help us bring in an additional $13,000 to protect wild trout!
► Tell your Twitter followers and Facebook friends about #GivingTuesday and tell them they can help the Foundation make an additional $7,000 by donating online at www.henrysfork.org/GivingTuesday on December 3.
► Mention @HenrysFork in your tweets about #GivingTuesday and remember to use the #GivingTuesday hashtag.
