In-Kind Donations
Buying a new vehicle? Consider donating your old vehicle to help HFF accomplish its mission. The Foundation needs a clean and mechanically sound SUV or crew-cab pickup, mid-size or full size, for staff to use for meetings, field tours, and to pull small boat trailers.
Assets, Stocks and Other Securities
Donors may choose to give appreciated assets, such as stocks or other securities. This may be the most effective way for you to support the Henry’s Fork Foundation while preserving your financial position.
If you own securities that have appreciated in value and been held for more than a full year, you can claim the full market value of the donated shares as a charitable deduction on your income tax and avoid paying capital gains tax on the increase in value of the shares you have gifted.
