Born in Cañon City, Colorado, along the banks of the Arkansas River, Jason has been chasing trout for as long as he can remember—fishing rivers throughout North and South America since he was a young boy. According to his parents, his first experience on the Conejos River came at the age of six, a memory too distant for him to recall, but one that marked the beginning of a lifelong connection to trout waters.
Today, he lives in southern Colorado at Stone Meadow Ranch on the Conejos River, a cherished fishery that holds deep personal significance. Since 2016, he has hosted fly-fishing trips to the Conejos and Stone Meadow Ranch, supporting the missions of several nonprofit organizations including the Tu-Mile Sportsman’s Association, Awol Angler, Project Healing Waters, and the Henry’s Fork Foundation. If he’s not on the Conejos, there’s a good chance he’s on the Henry’s Fork.
When he’s not on a river, he runs a commercial construction company that specializes in serving the needs of Los Alamos National Laboratory and private developers in the surrounding region of central New Mexico.
