As a close friend says, “the Henry’s Fork is good for the soul.” Its gentle flows, beautiful views and, of course, trout, together with access to miles of fishing, make the Henry’s Fork unique. He first visited the Henry’s Fork in 1994 and has been back at least once every year since. His appreciation for the Henry’s Fork and places like it goes back to his youth. He was raised in the Midwest, in a family that prioritized spending time in the outdoors.
Whether fishing or camping in the Midwest, bird hunting in the autumn or enjoying trips to great national parks, his parents made sure he understood the value of natural surroundings. He and his wife have carried those values forward and enjoy spending time in the outdoors with their two girls. It has been a highlight of his life to enjoy the Henry’s Fork, and he hopes that the work of the Henry’s Fork Foundation will help preserve the river for future generations.
In addition to fly fishing, he enjoys bicycling, snow skiing, autumns at his family farm in central Illinois and all things Tennessee Volunteers! His family also loves to travel. He lives in a suburb of Chicago. He majored in Economics at the University of Tennessee, Knoxville and attended law school at the University of Illinois College of Law. After starting his career in private practice, he transitioned to in-house roles and is currently the general counsel for a Boston-area company.
