But how do we uncover these solutions? It all starts with data and knowledge. What controls water temperatures out of Island Park Dam? Are air temperature, wind, and snowpack all connected? And what role does snowmelt play in shaping the river downstream? To answer these questions—and to advance the goals of the DIRTT Plan—we need to install a state-of-the-art climatological monitoring station near Island Park
